McCharles House Restaurant, Tearoom, and Gardens

McCharles House Now Named for the family who built it in 1885, the restored shingled Victorian, above is a highlight of walking tours of the Old Town district of Tustin, located between Los Angeles and San Diego. "People are always surprised that such a quaint enclave exists close to a big, bustling city," says Audrey.

the McCharles House is celebrating its 23rd birthday anniversary. In 1985, on the 100th anniversary of this charming cottage, we opened the doors to the McCharles House and Gardens. We wanted to share our traditions of celebrating life's simple pleasures as a gift to you. But instead you have been a gift to us. Through the last 23 years so many of you have become dear friends. So thank you, you have made this a very special 23-year celebration.

THE McCHARLES HOUSE HOURS

Please come back and visit this page for announcements on our 2008 calendar. Audrey and Vivian thank you for continuing to make The McCharles House a part of your life.

Our dream of building The McCharles House - A Center for Living, is now complete. A center for cultural events, film and photo, corporate retreats, conferences and meetings, parties, anniversaries, wine tastings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, weddings and renewing of vows. Surrounded by time-honored gardens, the beautiful additions---The Summerhouse, The Sequioa Lodge, The Drawing Room, The Porchside and Courtyards---will keep The McCharles House a special place for you and future generations to enjoy. If you should have any questions or would  like to make an appointment to view the venues, please contact Vivian at  714.731.4063 and leave a voice mail.  Summer dates are available. We thank you for considering our truly unique venues for your upcoming event.

Even with all the exciting additions here at The McCharles House, we are still in the process of doing more. Vivian is in the planning stages of designing lifestyle “GET-TOGETHERS” . . . all about cooking, gardening, entertaining and recipes for living. As always, good things take time. Because of that, The McCharles House Restaurant will not be serving our seasonal menu at this time nor do we have a specific opening date for the restaurant. You can be assured that Executive Chefs, Audrey and Vivian, will be returning with their seasonal restaurant - a little different and more special than before!
